DIY Pickle Corn Dog
Love the state fair? Corn Dogs? Pickles, cheese inside pickles, milky ways coming out of pickles, do you like food on a stick? Good, because we are going to show you how!
Ingredients:
Corndog Batter Ingredients:
- 2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 8 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
Pickles
Hot Dogs
Mozzarella cheese sticks
"Vegan" Candy Bar
Peanut butter
oil for frying
THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, sugar and baking powder. Stir in eggs and milk.
- Preheat oil in your deep fryer.
- Gently core out the center of a large pickle with a thin knife, just large enough for the hot dog to tightly fit in the hole. Too large a hole and the dog will fall out.
- Insert wooden skewers or chopstick into the hot dog. Dip in batter until well coated. Roll batter around to insure it sticks.
- Fry 1, maybe 2 if you have a large enough fryer at a time until browned, about 4 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels. season with a little salt.
Dip in peanut butter and shove in your mouth
