Philly Steak Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:


  • 8oz Sharp Shredded Cheese
  • 8oz Block Sharp Cheddar Cheese (freshly shredded)
  • 8oz Block Gouda Cheese (freshly shredded)
  • Small Block Velveeta Cheese (cut into small cube pieces)
  • 1/2 Stick Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Sour Cream
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper (for the pasta)
  • 1/3 Cup Flour
  • 12oz Box Elbow Macaroni
  • 4 Cups Whole Milk
  • Bread Crumbs (for toppings)
  • White Truffle Oil (for toppings)
  • 2 Tsp of Olive Oil
  • Garlic Powder, black pepper & sea salt (for meat)
  • 1 Pack of Stir Fry Steak Finely Sliced
  • 1/2 Large Onion & 1/2 Green Pepper sliced into thin pieces

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:



Instructions:


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Dice up peppers and onions and sauté until soft and then add your meat.
  3. Season with sea salt, garlic powder & black pepper.
  4. Remove excess moisture from pan and set aside once almost fully cooked.
  5. Boil Pasta for about 13 minutes, drain and put to the side.
  6. In same pot, on medium heat, melt butter then add flour, pepper & salt.
  7. Add milk and cook on low heat stirring with a whisk until mixture bubbles up and gets a little thick.
  8. Stir in your Sharp Cheddar Cheese & Gouda Cheese on at a time and remove from heat.
  9. Spray down your cast iron skillet and pour in your pasta shells first.
  10. Pour in your liquid cheese sauce mixture and then add in your cubed up Velveeta Cheese, sautéed steak, onions / green peppers and sour cream and mix all of it together.
  11. Lastly, top the pasta with a bag of shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle on bread crumbs.
  12. Bake at 375°F until cheese on top gets lightly brown.
  13. Remove from oven and drizzle on some white truffle oil as a finishing touch.
  14. Carbs, cheese, oil, carbs, cheese, oil, repeat. You are officially obese at heart.
