While in Florida we celebrated the holidays with Julia’s Mom and made eggnog ice cream to serve the family while unwrapping presents.  Since eggnog is one of the our all time favorite holiday drinks we thought why not make it into ice cream.  This recipe really hit the spot when we topped it off with the nutmeg, cinnamon stick, and a bit of rum.

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Eggnog
  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Toppings
  • 1 Dash Nutmeg Per Serving
  • Cinnamon Sticks (1 Per serving)
  • Rum (Optional)

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl combine and whisk together eggnog, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract
  2. Pour mixture into ice cream maker and run for 20 minutes or until appears to thicken
  3. Place mixture in a freezer safe container and freeze for 2-4 hours until scoopable
  4. Scoop ice cream into a bowl with a dash of nutmeg and a cinnamon stick
  5. To add a punch of flavor top each serving off with an ounce of rum
