KFC Gravy Recipe Remake

Ingredients:
- 1.5 Tbsp All-Vegetable Shortening
- 3 Tbsp Original Breading Flour
- 2 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour
- 10 oz Chicken Broth
- 10 oz Water
- 10 oz Home Style Gravy
- 2 Chicken Bouillon Cubes
- ¼ Tsp Salt
- ⅛ Tsp Black Pepper
- ⅛ Tsp Ground Sage
Instructions:
- First we are going to make a roux with the melted shortening and 1
- 1/2 tablespoon of breading flour
- Cook this over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until the roux browns
in color
- Once the mixture turns brown remove it from the heat
- Add the remaining flour and slowly add the liquid(s) to incorporate
it so no lumps.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 2 minutes
- Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to thicken for 3 to 5 minutes.
- You are now ready to serve!
