CEREAL THAT IS NOT CEREAL

French Toast, Donuts, Cinnamon Rolls, Pizza, Cheeseburgers, Ice Cream Cones... these foods might as well be cereal. 

Making Cereal That is Not CEREAL

From inspiration from the viral tiktok pancake cereal, JG decided to test out some of her favorite foods to see if she too could make them into a cereal.  Below see what we deem the most successful new cereal trials from our kitchen.  Give them a try!


French Toast Cereal


The tastiest of all carb breakfast dishes combined with syrup and milk is absolutely delicious. 

THINGS YOU’LL NEED: 

    Ingredients:
    • 2 Slices of Bread
    • 1 Egg 
    • A Few Dashes of Cinnamon
    • 1 tsp Sugar
    • 1 Tbsp Milk + 1 Cup Milk
    • Maple Syrup Drizzle
    Instructions:
    1. Preheat the griddle to 350°F. 
    2. Beat together 1 egg into a bowl.with cinnamon, sugar, and milk. 
    3. Dip and flip the bread slices into the egg batter
    4. Grease the griddle and place the dipped slices of bread.  Cook on both sides for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
    5. Place toast on a cutting board and cut down. 
    6. Place in bowl, pour in milk, top off with maple syrup.

    Mini Eggs 


    Super fun new way to enjoy the daily egg grind.

    THINGS YOU’LL NEED: 

      Ingredients:
      • 2 Eggs
      • Ketchup
      Instructions:
      1. Preheat the griddle for 350°F or a pan to medium high heat.
      2. Separate the yolks and whites from 2 eggs into two small bowls. Whisk together lightly.
      3. Use a tea spoon to scoop small eggs onto the griddle.  Follw up with a bit of the yolk. 
      4. Pan sear on that one side only. About 1 minute. Serve!

      Cinnamon Roll Cereal


      This was so good, i don't know why we didn't think of it sooner. 

      THINGS YOU’LL NEED: 

        Ingredients:
        • Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll
        • 1 Cup Milk
        • Dash of Cinnamon
        Instructions:
        1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
        2. Roll and press out the cinnamon rolls small.  
        3. Place on a lined and greased baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. 
        4. Place in bowl.  Pour in milk and top off with a dash of cinnamon.

        Grilled Cheese


        Tomato soup from now on needs to have grilled cheese in it or i just can't eat it.

        THINGS YOU’LL NEED: 

          Ingredients:
          • 4 Slices of White Bread
          • 4 Slices of American Cheese 
          • 2 Tbsp Mayo or Room temp/Spreadable Butter
          • 1 Can Campbell's Tomato Soup
          • 1 Cups of Milk 
          Instructions:
          1. Preheat the griddle for 350°F or a pan to medium high heat.
          2. Make tomato soup to the directions on the can.
          3. Spread mayo or butter on one side of the bread slices.  Place on the griddle. Place chease on top of the bread to melt.  Cook until golden brown on both sides. 
          4. Cut down gridlled cheese into small sandwiches and place in a bowl. Pour tomato soup on top. 

          Cheese Burger Cereal


          Cheese sauce is the milk on this cheese burger cereal.

          THINGS YOU’LL NEED: 

            Ingredients: 
            • 80/20 ground beef, pressed into small patties
            • Slider Rolls, cut into 4
            • American Cheese, sliced into 4
            • Bacon, cut down
            • Cheese Sauce
            Instructions:
            1. Preheat the griddle for 350°F or a pan to medium high heat.
            2. Sear the beef on both sides until cooked through. After you flip top with cheese.
            3. Build burger bottom bun, burger, bacon, top bun. 
            4. Place burgers in a bowl and top with warm cheese sauce.  

            Ice Cream Cone Cereal

            This tasted even better than the way it looks

            THINGS YOU’LL NEED: 

              Ingredients:
              • 2 Eggs, remove yolks
              • 1/4 heavy cream
              • Dash of Cinnamon
              • Dash of salt
              • 2 tsp vanilla  extract
              • 5 tbsp melted butter
              • 2/3 cup flour
              • Tin Foil
              • Ice Cream Cone Maker
              • Neapolitan Ice Cream or Flavor of Choice

              Instructions:
              1. Roll and press a piece of tin foil into the a small cone. Set aside for a later step.
              2. Preheat ice cream cone iron to medium high heat. 
              3. Mix together batter by whisking egg whites and heavy cream.  Then add sugar, cinnamon , salt, extract, and whisk.
              4. Spray ice cream cone maker with oil spray on top and bottom of the griddle. 
              5. Put a heaping tablespoon of the batter in the center of the griddle. Close. Cook for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. 
              6. Carefully take off the iron and quickly wrap it around the tiny tin foil cone.Let cool and repeat step 5 and 6 until you have a heaping amount of cones. 
              7. Spoon in small scoops of ice cream in each cone and place in a bowl.  Pour milk on top and dig in.  Yum!
