Once information leaked on the internet, a week before it became available to try, we got down to the nitty gritty with the details on how to make it. We understood from the leak that this green sour caramel apple frappuccino has a hint of blackberry sweetness in a purple mocha syrup and purple whipped cream topping, to look creepy like zombie brains. This drink is so fun, and tasty, and is perfect for the Halloween season. Since this recipe was made before we tried it after the taste test we’ll reveal any changes we would make, if any.

Frap
  • 1 Pint Ice
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 Tbsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Sour Apple Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Caramel

Purple Mocha Syrup
  • 2 Cups White Chocolate Morsels
  • ½ Cup Blackberry Syrup
  • Milk to loosen it up

Brains Whip Cream
Instructions
  1. First make your purple mocha syrup by melting your white chocolate in a sauce pan or microwave.
  2. Once melted stir in your blackberry syrup and neon purple food dye. Add milk as much or as little to get the consistency you desire.
  3. Keep your syrup on low heat stirring occasionally as you make the rest of the frap.
  4. In a separate bowl mix together heavy cream, pink sour sugar, and neon purple food dye. Pour into whip cream dispenser. Add more heavy cream to the dispenser until full and shake well.
  5. In a blender, blend together ice, milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, sour apple sugar,
  6. caramel, and neon greed food dye.
  7. Put your purple mocha syrup into a piping bag and rim the interior of th glass.
  8. Pour in your green sour caramel apple frapp.
  9. Top with your pink "brains" whip cream.

After trying the Zombie Frappuccino at Starbucks we decided we would change a few things to our original recipe to make it spot on. So here is the actual and most accurate recipe for you to make at home that way when this limited time item is no longer available you can still get that same delicious Zombie Frappuccino flavor any time you want. The main differences are that the mocha syrup is made with chocolate – not white chocolate, they use raspberries – instead of blackberries,  their is more caramel in the frapp base, and there isn’t any sour flavor in the whip cream “brain” topping.  If you give it a try let us know how accurate you think it is!
