Cuisine: American
Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 12 oz Can of Beer (Preferably something malty)
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Large White Onion
  • ¼ Lb 96% Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 Slices of Texas Toast
  • 2 Turkey Bacon Strips
  • 1 Slice of Thin Cheddar Cheese
  • ¼ Cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 Tsp Barbecue Sauce

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

Instructions:

Make Beer Battered Onion Rings:

  1. In a medium sized bowl add 1 Cup of Flour, 1 Tsp Salt & ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  2. In another bowl, small is fine, add 12 oz Can of Beer, 1 Egg Beaten & 1 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil
  3. Combine the two and whisk until battery
  4. Slice 1 Large White Onion into rings. Do not cut in half or that will destroy the rings. Unfortunately I only had a yellow onion with me and they are not nice circles so please disregard the pictures they are upset you.
  5. Submerge the onion rings into the batter and fry them in a deep fryer or a pan with sufficient amount of oil at 365°F for about 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Cook everything:

  1. Hand press your ¼ Lb Beef Patty into the shape of your Texas Toast Slice. This will allow for maximum beer to bread ratio in each bite you take. This is completely optional, but recommended for tastiness.
  2. Preferably on a flat top griddle, grill your Texas Toast, Turkey Bacon and Burger Patty.

Assembly Time:

  1. Texas Toast Slice
  2. Tsp Barbecue Sauce
  3. 1/4 Cup of Shredded Lettuce (Don't actually measure this out, just use enough to look nice)
  4. 1/4 Lb Burger Patty in the shape of Texas Toast
  5. Thin Slice Cheddar Cheese
  6. Turkey Bacon Strips
  7. Fat Onion Ring, or 2 little ones, or whatever you want that you can fit in your mouth
  8. Texas Toast Slice
