DIY Clash of Clans Cake

It’s the anniversary of Clash of Clans and in the game an incredibly tasty chocolate cake popped up. Been doing everything we can to not dig it up and exchange it in for elixir. So instead of gaining elixir, we figured why not make the cake at home. As we aren’t the best bakers we got the help from our good friend Emma, from Emma’s Goodies, who assisted us with her Red Velvet Cake recipe… we changed it up a bit to make it look just like the cake from Clash of Clans.

Recipe Type: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Serves: 1 Cake

Ingredients:

Red Velvet Cake:

  • 215 gr All Purpose Flour
  • 10 gr Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 200 gr White Sugar
  • 180 gr Buttermilk
  • 150 gr Softened Butter
  • 3 Eggs
  • Red Food Coloring
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 600 g cold Cream Cheese
  • ½ Cup Cocoa Powder (Sifted)
  • 115 g soft Butter
  • 300 g Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

Ganache Drip:

  • 165 g White Chocolate
  • 60 g Heavy Cream

Decorations:

  • Strawberries

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

Instructions:

  1. Mix the flour, sifted cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt in 1 bowl
  2. In a second bowl add softened butter, vanilla extract, white sugar and blend
  3. Add in 3 eggs and blend
  4. Add in red food gel and blend
  5. Add buttermilk and blend
  6. Sift in the dry ingredients into the wet bowl and stir until well combined
  7. Pour half into 2 cake pans lined with parchment paper and cooking spray
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until the toothpick is clean
  9. Turn the cakes over and let them rest for 5 minutes, then flip them right side up to rest until fully cool
  10. For the cream cheese frosting, blend all the ingredients listed together completely
  11. Level off your cakes and spread a layer in the middle, stack them on top and spread frosting around the sides and top
  12. For the Ganache, melt white chocolate and heat up heavy cream and mix the two until combined
  13. Let it sit a little bit before pouring on top of your cake
  14. Spread it until the ganache drips off the sides and let gravity do its job
  15. While the ganache is still soft add the strawberries to the top and hold them in place until the ganache hardens
  16. Cut a slice and take a picture. You made the Clash of Clans 5th Anniversary Cake!
